This past week was a good one. We were able to see some of our
progressing friends and found a bunch of new people who we are excited
about.
We had a miracle day on Friday which was amazing. We met a man named
Wayne on Wednesday at a bus stop just before 9 and he had met sister
missionaries two days before. His bus was coming and so we didn't have
time to get contact information but we set up a time to see him Friday
morning. He actually showed up to his lesson and we had a great chapel
tour and restoration lesson and he agreed to a baptismal date! He has
great desires to change and was ready to accept the Gospel.
Unfortunately he called us on Saturday and said he wanted to think
about things some more but he will come around! Also, right after we
met another man named Wayne who also is looking to change his life and
we should be seeing him today! Miracles.
We saw Jorge briefly and he is good, he had read some Book of Mormon
but unfortunately he said he doesn't think he could be baptised
because his mom and grandma wouldn't let him but we invited him to
ask! We saw Mary with two sisters in the ward and she is great. She is
just searching for an answer to her prayers and we invited her to
watch the Joseph Smith movie which should be perfect for her.
Malcolm is doing well. We saw him and had a good lesson and he
committed to cut down on smoking and to be done by tomorrow. He is
doing well with that but unfortunately something came up and he wasn't
able to come to church but he has so much potential. He said he has an
open heart.
Fun highlights: we found a couple from Palestine and the man was
actually born in Jerusalem! I spoke a tiny bit of Arabic and they were
impressed. They accepted a Book of Mormon and we will see them not
this week but the next. We had a zone activity in Manchester today
which was fun. Played capture the flag and had a BBQ.
I am super happy and just feel so blessed. I have so much to be
grateful for. Recently, we have been invited to call down the powers
of Heaven more and to ask for angels to be with us and it has been
amazing to see the difference in the work. There really are angels all
around us helping us. It truly is the Lord's work.
