What a great week of missionary work! Still being blessed with lots of
success with finding new friends and have seen some progress in those
we have been working work. We truly are blessed when we open our
mouths and talk to everyone. We are hoping to have some great people
to be progressing very soon and actually found a family to teach!
We found the Bashdash family from Syria and they are Kurdish. We had a
powerful restoration lesson and I got to speak a little Arabic with
them. They are super kind and the father expressed how he felt
something special inside him (the Spirit). They said that they would
read the Book of Mormon and pray about it together and would probably
be baptised! We taught the father and mother and 14 and 12 year old
daughters. The 14 year old translated for us for most of the lesson
into Arabic and it was so great to hear people speaking it again.
We were able to give Malcolm a baptismal calendar and he committed to
it and we really hope and pray that he sticks to it and that he
receives his answer. We saw Jorge briefly and committed him to talk to
his mom about being baptised. We haven't been able to see Mary but we
will see her soon.
We had a fun miracle with our friend named Macick. We met him on the
street a couple weeks ago and he used to be a Jehovah's Witness and we
had a good conversation with him. He said that he would try to come to
church but unfortunately he didn't come but we saw him on Thursday
walking by and then on Friday ran into him again and he had actually
just come from his friends house where he walked in and the sister
missionaries were in the house teaching his friend! Miracle. We set up
a time to see him this next week, he has great potential.
Things are going well here in good ole England. I love being a
missionary. We got to go to the temple again today. Literally the
greatest. Hope you all have a great week!
