May 15, 2017 Mothers Day

This past week was good. Found a lot of new friends who we hope to be
seeing soon and one in particular that we are excited about: Ross. He
pretty much stopped us on the street and talked about how he recently
got over his drug addiction and is looking to change his life. We
taught him multiple times and he felt the Spirit and committed to a
baptismal date but then unfortunately didn't come to church and we're
not sure why yet. But he will be good!

We found a nice family who didn't have much of a belief and they
really liked the Plan of Salvation and said that it makes sense. We
committed 3 of them, Dina, Callum and Helen to be baptised and they
were excited but then heard about the Word of Wisdom and it turned
them off. We still hope to see them soon because we really want to
explain the Word of Wisdom to them. My testimony of it is strengthened
every day, not living it ruins so many people's lives.

Our finding has been really good. We've been focusing a lot on prayer
and I've learned a lot about it this past week. Of course we can't
change the will of our Heavenly Father, that is not why we pray, we
communicate with Him to align our will with His, my testimony of that
in particular has been strengthened. We communicate with Him because
He is our Father and He wants to hear from us and we can find so much
joy and comfort in prayer. I have such a strong testimony that prayer
works. It is real. There is a real power in prayer. I am so happy to
be able to help others experience that. When we taught Dina, in the
first prayer she immediately felt the Spirit. It was amazing.

I was so happy to talk to all my favourite people yesterday, it made
me super super happy. Thank you for being the best. And of course
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to my amazing mother.
