July 24, 2017 One Year!

This past week was really great. We were super busy with appointments,
teaching a lot and we have some great people progressing! Eleanor is
still progressing really well, we have seen her a lot and she is
converted but is just waiting for some legal complexities to pass over
before she gets baptised! She loves studying the Gospel and is fun to
teach because she knows so much. Unfortunately we haven't been able to
see or get in contact with Heather.

We had a miracle this week with our new friend Abbey. We were looking
through our phone for former investigators and we felt like we should
call her and she was very open to meeting with us. When we saw her the
next day she expressed that she had been crying for a while and was
really struggling when we called her! She agreed that it was a sign
from God and was very accepting. She is super good friends with a
family in one of the wards and so we taught her at their home last
night and it went super well. Abbey is really looking for peace and is
excited to find it within the Gospel! So much potential there.

Highlights: had my first sick day on my mission this past Wednesday!
We had some dodgy dessert from a member and I accidentally ate it
after it had been sitting in the car haha. So I was in bed for almost
all of Wednesday. I am blessed and lucky though that I made it almost
a year without a sick day. We also did some service for our
investigator Emma on Saturday. Made some cabinets for her and did her
dishes. She is super funny and we hope to have her progressing soon.

I can't believe that it is my one year mark this week! I have been
reflecting recently about my mission thus far and I am just seriously
so blessed. I am so extremely grateful for all the experiences I have
had on my mission. I wish I could put into words how much my mission
and being a missionary means to me. People will say things like
"giving up or sacrificing two years for a mission" (I even said these
words before) but a mission truly is the greatest, most sacred
privilege and opportunity to represent the Saviour of the world, Jesus
Christ. I love Him and I know He lives. He walks beside me and really
does guide me. I bear this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ,
amen.
